ABSTRACT. A small glomerid of unusual appearance (presence of a pseudotelson on the prepygidial tergite) was recently collected in Galicia, Spain and in the extreme north of Portugal. This is a new species meriting the creation of a new genus which is close to Trachysphaera Heller, 1858: Tectosphaera vicenteae gen.n., sp.n. from the tribe Doderiini Silvestri, 1904. The classification of the Glomerida published by the author in 1971 is updated; besides some additions and minor modifications, it allows to classify a species from the Cantabric Mountains, Protoglomeris cantabrica Mauriиs et Vicente, 1977, for which another new genus is proposed: Cantabromeris gen.n., from the tribe Onychoglomerini Verhoeff, 1915. New synonymy: Doderia Silvestri, 1904 = Corsikomeris Verhoeff, 1943, syn.n.
