ABSTRACT. Barbula jacutica Ignatova sp. nova is described from Ust-Maya District of Republic Sakha (Yakutia); holotype is in MHA. The new species is compared with B. eustegia Card. et Ther., from mountains of the West of North America, and Leptobarbula berica (De Not.) Schimp., a Meditterranean endemic species.
