ABSTRACT. Moss flora of the taiga region of the Arkhangelsk Province includes 272 species. The highest number of species have Sphagnaceae (33), Amblystegiaceae (33), Bryaceae (32), Dicranaceae (27). The list of species includes information on localites and ecology for each species. Mosses of the main substrate groups are discussed. The number of species colonizing disturbed areas is relatively high. The species composition of the province is compared with neighboring provinces and analysis includes also distribution of species by 3 main physiographic districts of the Arkhangelsk Province.
