ABSTRACT. During a study of ecosystems of the thermal mineral springs in Kamchatka Peninsula, Anthoceros agrestis Paton (Anthocerotophyta) was found.  This is the first record of the species, as well as of the hornworts as a whole for Kamchatka.  A description of the collection site and of the characteristic features of the species that distinguish it from its closest morphological taxa is provided.
