ABSTRACT. Sphagnum alaskense, a species described recently from the Alaska, is revealed in Russia, in East Yakutia, Chukotka, Magadan Province, Sakhalin and Kuril Islands. Description and illustrations of plants from Asia are provided, and its distribution in Russia is mapped.
