ABSTRACT. Tritomaria koreana Bakalin, S.–S. Choi & B.-Y. Sun is described as new to science from south of Korean Peninsula. The striking characteristics of the new species are green to whitish green 1-celled angular gemmae, 2-lobed leaves with unequal lobes, weakly papillose leaf cuticle – a combination not present in other members of the genus.
