ABSTRACT. Annotated list of mosses of small local mountain area in Dagestan Republic (East Caucasus) is presented. It contains 215 species, including many rare and interesting ones, among them xerophytes Indusiella thianschanica, Jaffueloibryum latifolium, Crossidium squamiferum, Tortula atrovirens, Molendoa schliephakei. Two species, Anacamptodon splachnoides and Seligeria patula, and Tortella tortuosa var. fleischeri are new to Russia, and Philonotis falcata and Bryum sibiricum are new to Europe. Short overview of habitats and substrates is provided.
