ABSTRACT. A study of relationship of leaf tip fragility to the leaf cell net is performed for for four species, Dicranum fragilifolium, D. hakkodense, D. tauricum, and D. viride. Differences in the leaf fragility is correlated with species ecology, and the higher fragiality at sectorial borders is discussed.
