ABSTRACT. Lindbergia sinensis (Müll. Hal.) Broth., an epiphytic moss of family Leskeaceae has been identified during survey and investigation of mosses of Garhwal Hills, Uttarakhand, Western Himalaya. Earlier, this species was reported from China and Russia. This is the first report of Lindbergia sinesis from India which constitutes a new record for Indian Moss flora. The species is described and illustrated here with gametophytic as well as sporophytic details.
