ABSTRACT. 28 water beetle species from 17 genera and 4 families are recorded in standing and flowing waters of the Elegest river basin. Hydroporus notatus Sturm, 1835, Dytiscidae, is recorded from Tuva for the first time. The distributions of 18 groups of species are classified on the basis of sectoral, zonal and provincial areas.
