ABSTRACT. New data on the distribution of six carabid-beetle species in the Tien Shan mountains are provided. Carabus (Cryptocarabus) sororius A. Morawitz, 1886 is newly recorded for the Boro-Horo mountainous range, Poecilus (Poecilus) liosomus Chaudoir, 1876 for the Dzhungarian Alatau mountainous range, and P. (Poecilus) longiventris Solsky, 1874 for the north-western part of the Karatau mountainous range for the first time. Perigona (Trechicus) ? nigripes (Dejean, 1831) is only the second record from Middle Asia. The distribution of two species is detailed, namely: the north-western limit of the range of C. (Ophiocarabus) regeli obscurior Semenov, 1888, and the north-east expansion of Trechus (Trechus) quadristriatus (Schrank, 1781).
