ABSTRACT. The thrips genus Orothrips Moulton, 1907 of the family Aeolothripidae with a species O. priesneri (Yitzchak, 1958) is firstly registered from the Crimea peninsula. The genus differs by presence of two sensillae on III–IV antennomeres. Main characters for the genus and a species are discussed and illustrated. Distribution of other thrips species, Limothrips transcaucasicus Savenko, 1944, previously known only by a singular record is confirmed.
