ABSTRACT. Two new species of checkered-beetles (Cleridae) are described from Russian Far East: Tillus arsenjevi sp.n. (Tillinae) and Orthrius hinganensis sp.n. (Clerinae). Tillus arsenjevi sp.n. is well distinguished from other species of the genus by the single-black colour of both sexes, and also by the dimorphism in antennal structure: pectinate in males, and serriform in females. Orthrius hinganensis sp.n. differs from other species of the genus by the sculpture of elytra, distinct and coarse in the first half, and smooth and sparse after the first band; also by greatly shortened 10-punctate row. New synonyms are designated: Tillus A.G.Olivier, 1790 = Falsotillus Gerstmeyer, 1992, syn.n.; Thanasimus substriatus (Gebler, 1832) = Thanasimus nigriventralis Krivolutskaja, 1992, syn.n.; Orthrius striatulus (Motschulsky, 1860) = Orthrius particularius Pic, 1926, syn.n. = Orthrius sibiricus Pic 1933 syn.n. Opilo carinatus Lewis, 1892 sp.rest. is reestablished from synonyms of Opilo niponicus Lewis. The lectotype of Jenouristea philippovi Fursov, 1936 is defined. Stigmatium pilosellum (Gorham, 1878), Platytenerus castaneus (Kфno, 1930), all — Cleridae, Thaneroclerus bugueti (Lefebvre, 1835) (Thanerocleridae) are recorded for the first time in Russian Far East, and Stigmatium nakanei Iga, 1949 (Cleridae) — in Sakhalin.
