Abstract: Provided is an annotated checklist of the superfamily Cantharoidea of Russia and adjacent territories that constituted until 1991 the USSR. The checklist includes five families, Omalisidae, Drilidae, Lampyridae, Lycidae and Cantharidae, 61 genera and 408 species. Four families, with 52 genera and 275 species, are registered for Russia, of which three species, Libnetus granicollis Kiesenwetter, 1879 (Lycidae), Malthodes kurosawai Wittmer and M. misellus Kiesenwetter (Cantharidae), are reported from the Russian territory for the first time. Reported for the first time is also the tribe Libnetini and genus Libnetus Waterhouse, 1878. Lygistopterus sanguineus melanoderus Barovskij, 1922, syn.n. is synonymized with L. sanguineus (Linnaeus, 1758).
