ABSTRACT. Karyotype of a parasitic wasp of the subfamily Homolobinae, Homolobus infumator (Lyle, 1914), has been studied for the first time. The species has 2n = 12. All chromosomes of the karyotype are biarmed and slowly decrease in size. Possible origin of the karyotype of H. infumator is discussed in the light of phylogenetic relationships of the Homolobinae.
