ABSTRACT. An overview of wolves as natural predator of the beaver in Eurasia and North America will be given. The impact of wolf on beaver populations is depending on local and seasonal conditions. Wolves are not able to reduce beaver populations. Our knowledge about the relations between beaver and wolf is still incomplete and should be further examined.
