ABSTRACT. The genus Sphagnum in the Kaliningrad Province includes 34 species, 3 of them are found here for the first time (S. inundatum, S. pulchrum, S. subnitens). Two species are known only by old literature data (S. compactum, S. contortum). Several species are rare in European Russia (Sphagnum imbricatum, S. denticulatum, S. molle, S. pulchrum, S. subnitens). An annotated list is given, with data on habitats and distribution the species within the Kaliningrad Province, and distribution of rare species is mapped.
