KMK Scientific Press Ltd. is founded in Moscow in 1992 as specialized scientific publishing house producing periodicals as well as scientific monographs both in Russian and main foreign languages. Basic directions of publications are natural sciences (biology, with speciel reference to zoology and botany; geography; history of science) and history (together with memoirs and biographies). Up-to-date Publishing House issues treatises and university lectures, illustrated identification guides to plant and animals as well as serials, in cooperation with Moscow Lomonosov State University, Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (St.-Petersburg), V.I. Komarov Botanical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences (St.-Petersburg), and other institutions. Totally, ca. 1000 books are published. 10 periodicals are issued regularly.

This site is devoted to open-access, peer-reviewed English journals of KMK, namely Arctoa (since 1991), Arthropoda Selecta (since 1992), Russian Entomological Journal (since 1992), Acarina (since 1993), Russian Journal of Theriology (since 2002), Euroasian Entomological Journal (since 2002), and Invertebrate Zoology (since 2004).
