ABSTRACT. Chelicerae of some Arachnida were studied to demonstrate that there is proof that the thelyphonid chelicerae are three-articulated. The phylogeny of Uropygi-Ambypygi-Araneae is briefly discussed and the term “Pedipalpi”, as an ordinal name, is treated as inappropriate.
