ABSTRACT. The paper presents new faunistic data on eight spider species in five families from Stavropol Krai. All of these species are new to the region at hand. Coscinida tibialis Simon, 1895 has been found in Russia for the first time. The discovery of Howaia mogera (Yaginuma, 1972) in a garden plot within the limits of City of Ipatovo confirms the association of European populations of the species with synanthropic habitats. The discovery of Olios sericeus (Kroneberg, 1875) and Coscinida tibialis Simon, 1895 in the steppe zone of Stavropol Krai indicates the ongoing northward expansion of southern species.

KEY WORDS: Araneae, new records, distribution, southern Russia.
