ABSTRACT. The monograph is the 28th volume of the series of guides “Identification guides to the plankton and benthos of inland waters”, published under the editorship of Henri Dumont. The monograph contains a revision of the subfamily Eucyclopinae Kiefer, 1927 and descriptions of three genera: Eucyclops Claus, 1893, Stygocyclops Pleša, 1971 and Isocyclops Kiefer, 1957. The genus Eucyclops, one of the largest among the cyclopid, after the revision includes 112 valid taxa, including 92 species. The systematic part is preceded by a detailed description of the external morphology of representatives of these genera based on the type species for the subfamily, Eucyclops serrulatus (Fischer, 1851).  Morphological descriptions and illustrations of the most important, taxonomically significant structures of the external structure of each taxon are given. The genus Eucyclops is subdivided into 9 subgenera, and keys for subgenera, species, and subspecies are provided. The monotypic genus Stygocyclops, with a single species, S. teras (Graeter, 1907), and the small genus Isocyclops, with two species, are described in the same way. The monograph is illustrated with 119 figures, has an index of Latin names, as well as a list of synonyms and invalid names. The bibliography includes 135 references and covers all publications with original descriptions of valid taxa. The monograph is published in English and is intended for a wide range of copepod taxonomists, hydrobiologists and students of biological specialties interested in hydrobiology.
