ABSTRACT. The lectotype of the type material of Satyrus pelopea var. kirgisa Gerhard, 1882 in the collection of Museum fur Naturkunde Leibniz-Institut fur Evolutions- und Biodiversitatsforschung (Berlin, Germany) is designated. It is shown that this taxon is a subspecies of Pseudochazara mamurra (Herrich-Schoffer, [1846]); therefore a new synonymy, P. mamurra kirgisa (Gerhard, 1882) = P. mamurra nukatli Bogdanov, 2000, syn. n., is established.
