ABSTRACT. The new population of rare and poorly studied Caucasian endemic Athamanthia japhetica (Nekrutenko et Effendi, 1983) (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) that was previously known only from Caspian region of North Azebaijan is described from Georgia. The ecological peculiarities of the population are described and the comparison of its specimens both with the imagines of Azerbaijan populations from the type locality and the West Kazakhstan subspecies imagines is made.
