ABSTRACT. 17 species of Noctuoidea moths, Araeopteron koreana Fibiger et Kononenko, Holocryptis nymphula Rbl., Hypena obesalis Tr., H. squalida Btl., Mocis undata F., Pseudodeltote brunnea Leech, Cucullia hostilis Bours., Eucarta arcta Led., Triphaenopsis postflava Leech, Karana laetevirens Obth., Xanthia tunicata Graes., Clavipalpula aurariae Obth., Orthosia ella Btl., Euxoa karschi Graes., Cerastis rubricosa Den. et Schiff., Spaelotis ravida Den. et Schiff. and Xestia descripta Brem., are recorded for Sakhalin Island for the first time, and Lemyra inaequalis Btl. (Arctiidae) and Dyctiestra dissecta Wlk. (Noctuidae) are newly recorded for Sakhalin Island and the fauna of Russia.
