ABSTRACT. A new species of short-palped craneflies, Dicranota (Ludicia) savchenkoi sp.n., is described and illustrated on the basis of male and female adults from East Kazakhstan. The new species differs from congeners of the subgenus Ludicia by the 11-segmented antennae and venation of wings, and from the closely related species Dicranota (Ludicia) aberrans Savchenko, 1980 by structural details of the male hypopygium.

KEY WORDS: Diptera, Pediciidae, Dicranota, Ludicia, new species, Palaearctic, Kazakhstan.
