ABSTRACT. The distribution of 7 carabid beetle species in Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region of China is discussed. Six species, Nebria (Boreonebria) changaica Horvatovich, 1973 (Mongolian Altai Mt. R.), Tachyura (Tachyura) angusticollis (Reitter, 1894) (foothills in the northern part of the Province), Pterostichus (Bothriopterus) adstrictus Eschscholtz, 1823 (Mongolian Altai Mt. R.), Amara (Allobradytus) armeniaca (Motschulsky, 1839) (Ili Valley), Amara (Celia) praetermissa (C.R. Sahlberg, 1827) (Mongolian Altai Mt. R.) and Syntomus parallelus (Ballion, 1871) (Mailitau, Kyz-Emtshek, Khalyktau and Kunlun Mt. R.) are newly recorded from China, and one species, Microlestes schroederi Holdhaus, 1912, is recorded from the Xinjiang Province for the first time (Wusunshan Mt. R. and mountains to the South of Urumqi City).
