ABSTRACT. Occurrence of the rare nemoral ground beetle Carabus (Damaster) smaragdinus Fischer von Waldheim, 1823 in the westernmost locality of the species distribution in Buryatia, Russia and Mongolia is presented. The species is first given for the territory of Mongolia.
