ABSTRACT. An annotated list of 55 non-biting midge species of the tribes Chironomini (41 species) and Tanytarsini (14 species) from 26 genera is newly presented for Buryatia Republic and adjacent territories. Three species are recorded for the fauna of Russia for the first time, twelve species are newly registered for Eastern Siberia and fourteen species for Buryatia. Three species provisionally are new to science and will be described later in separate paper. Species with Palaearctic distribution are prevail in the region.
