ABSTRACT. Sand wasps (Crabronidae) from the genera Philanthus Fabricius, 1790 and Cerceris Latreille, 1802 are represented by 16 species in the collection of the Institute of Zoology, Baku. Of these nine species, Philanthus coronatus Thunberg, 1784, Ph. coarctatus Spinola, 1839, Ph. venustus Rossi, 1790, Cerceris vagans Radoszkowski, 1877, C. quadrifasciata Panzer, 1799, C. flavilabris Fabricius, 1793, C. albofasaciata Rossi, 1790, C. capito Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau, 1845 and C. spinipectus accola Kohl, 1916, are newly recorded for the fauna of Azerbaijan. Similarly, sixteen species are recorded from the territory of Azerbaijan, one from Iran and two species from the territory of Armenia. General geographic distribution is given for each species.
