ABSTRACT. 83 species and subspecies of aphids of the subfamily Apidinae of the family Aphididae are recorded for the Western Kazakhstan. 8 genera are the most common: Aphis Linnaeus, 1758 (31 species), Brachycaudus Van der Goot, 1913 (6), Protaphis Börner, 1952, Dysaphis Börner, 1931 (4 each), Rhopalosiphum Koch, 1854, Xerobion Nevsky, 1928, Hydaphias Börner, 1930 and Coloradoa Wilson, 1910 (3 each). In the remaining 18 genera 1–2 species were identified. Pterocomma pilosum pilosum Buckton, 1879 was reported for the first time for Western Kazakhstan. Data on the distribution of aphids by ecosystem, their trophic specialisation, relative abundance and type of area are given for each species.

KEY WORDS: Aphids, ecosystems, location, distribution, trofic specialization, types of areals, Kazakhstan.
