ABSTRACT. New material for the genus Heteropsilopus Bigot, 1859 from India has been recently found and identified. Heteropsilopus kosterini Grichanov, sp.n. from Kerala state and H. konstantini Grichanov, sp.n. from Goa state of south-western India are described and illustrated. H. kosterini Grichanov, sp.n. mainly differs from other representatives of the H. triligatus (Becker, 1922) species group in morphology of male genitalia. The male of H. kosterini Grichanov, sp.n. has broad, clavate cerci. In contrast, the male of the closely related species H. pulcherrimus (Becker, 1922) from Sri Lanka has narrower cerci that taper to the apex. H. konstantini Grichanov, sp.n. is close to H. protervus (Parent, 1941) from the Kerala State, but differs in its hyaline basal half of wing, long fore basitarsus, 1.5 times longer than 2–5 tarsomeres combined and the male cercus is nearly twice as long as the epandrium. The H. protervus male has a basal subcostal extension of the quadrangular wing spot, the fore basitarsus is nearly as long as tarsomeres 2–5 combined, and the cercus is short, and slightly shorter than the epandrium. 15 Heteropsilopus Bigot species are currently known in the Oriental Region including 13 species described from India.
