ABSTRACT. New faunistic records are provided for 33 species of Salticidae from Turkmenistan, with additional records for 12 species from such neighbouring central Asian countries as Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. A new species of the jumping spiders — Salticus karakumensis sp.n. (♂) from Repetek (Turkmenistan) — is diagnosed, illustrated and described. Four species are recorded from Turkmenistan for the first time: Evarcha nenilini Rakov, 1997, Heliophanus forcipifer Kulczyński, 1895, Marpissa nivoyi (Lucas, 1846), and Pellenes allegrii Caporiacco, 1935. One species — Langona tartarica (Charitonov, 1946) — is recorded from Pakistan for the first time. Six species are illustrated: Afraflacilla braunsi (Peckham et Peckham, 1903), Evarcha nenilini Rakov, 1997, Langona pallidula Logunov et Rakov, 1998, L. tartarica, Pellenes sytchevskayae Logunov, Marusik et Rakov, 1999, and Pseudomogrus pseudovalidus (Logunov et Marusik, 2003).
