ABSTRACT. The Adelungiine leafhopper, Assiuta salina (Lindberg, 1954), is redescribed and illustrated, together witha summary of its distribution in the Canarian Archipelago and northwestern Africa. Photographs of the larva and new records of A. salina from Fuerteventura and Lanzarote Islands and Morocco are also provided. The relationships of the genus Assiuta Linnavuori, 1969 within the tribe Adelungiini are discussed.
