ABSTRACT. No studies on the Collembola of Rodrigues Island (Republic of Mauritius) have ever been made. In the littoral zone studied, only four species of interstitial sand springtails have been collected, but Rodrigues is the smallest and most remote both from the other Mascarene islands and from the African continent.
