ABSTRACT. Laburrus abrotani is widespread in the Palearctic steppe and semidesert zones and feeds on Artemisia procera. In Moscow Oblast, the northernmost population of this species associated with A. campestris was discovered. Specimens from different host plants are indistinguishable in morphological characters. At the same time, they have small but consistent differences in the male calling signal patterns. Apparently, these two host races represent an example of incomplete speciation. Still, we believe that currently it is premature to formally describe the race from A. campestris as a new subspecies or species, taking into account small number of populations studied, relatively small differences in the signal patterns, and the absence of morphological differences. A study of materials on two species of Laburrus from different regions revealed synonymy L. similis Vilbaste, 1965 = L. vulgaris Mityaev, 1971, syn.n. and L. handlirschi (Matsumura, 1908) = L. potanini Mityaev, 1971, syn.n.
