ABSTRACT. A new species of the Plebejus christophi (Staudinger, 1874) species group, P. ehsanii sp.n., is described from Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. The new species differs from other members of the P. christophi species group in violet blue colouration restricted to the postdiscal area of the dorsal side of both wings in the male, small disconnected lunules of the ventral side of the hindwings in both sexes, details of the male genitalia morphology and DNA barcodes.
