ABSTRACT. A new species Chamaesphecia (s.str.) dariganga O. Gorbunov, sp.n. (Lepidoptera, Sesiidae) is described and illustrated from Mongolia. The new species, the type series of which consists of three males and one female, was collected both by using artificial sex attractants and by carefully examining suspected host plants. This new species undoubtedly belongs to the Chamaesphecia leucopsiformis (Esper, 1800) species group and is readily distinguishable from the two East Palaearctic species of the group by both external characters and the female genitalic structure. The genus Chamaesphecia Spuler, 1910 is recorded for the fauna of Mongolia for the first time.
